More than 450 people enjoyed the gala presented by journalist Xavi Coral, and included the music of singer-songwriter Sergi Carbonell and a special cake prepared by Escribà. 

Civil administration and society are committed alongside the Villavecchia Foundation in creating the first children’s hospice in the heart of Barcelona. 

The new patronage law expands the base amount from 150 euros to 250 euros that is needed to deduct 80% of the donation by IRPF. 

Families require more help after treatment, and this is what the Villavecchia Foundation offers with their NES and NESI care programs for children and youth who have survived a form of cancer. 

Before summer break, we have organized numerous activities for our children and young ones: from an adapted excursion on boat by the Cosa Brava to “casales” (summer houses, community centers) for children who have suffered from a form of cancer. 

We have adhered to the international network PanCare and consolidated our care programs NES and NESI for young survivors. 

At the Villavecchia Foundation we keep working to offer special moments that will become unique memories, during and after the illness has been overcome. 

Our commitment to this formation remains firm: since 2006 we have given out 48 scholarships in the specialization of pediatric oncology and hematology. 

The center will be located in the historic enclosure of Sant Pau and will be available to all children with life-threatening illnesses who live in Cataluña.
