The Villavecchia Foundation’s Sant Jordi event continues to grow in its fundraising success
Thousands of people visited our stand in Barcelona and 21 organizations collaborated with us through special charitable actions, like the sponsorship of our Sant Jordi video.
The most charitable Sant Jordi event has filled up the corner of Rambla Catalunya and Consell de Cent in Barcelona for another year, where each year we set up the Villevecchia Foundation’s stand. Thousands of people have joined us to support the Villavecchia Foundation. The sale of roses, rose arrangements, books, summed up with the special charitable actions of 21 organizations (like the sale of Sonrisas de Chocolate for clients and collaborators, as well as the sponsorship of the special Sant Jordi video) have helped us fundraise a record amount of 34.000 euros, the highest amount for this annual fundraising campaign to date.
At the stand, with the help of 40 volunteers, we offered natural roses and rose bouquets, the books “Relations Solidarios del Deporte” and “La vida fantástica”, and the services of La Princesa de Traip, who offered face-painting to the youngsters. Like every year, this Sant Jordi we have also premiered a special video, which has been sponsored by 8 supportive organizations. The video depicts children and youth with grave illnesses assisted by the Villavecchia Foundation partaking in activities related to the Sant Jordi celebration, like storybook readings, playing with a knight figurine, as well as cutting out and painting hearts and roses. The success of this event has been possible thanks to the technical support team at the Foundation and our volunteer team, with special thanks to the collaborating organizations and entities as well as the thousands of people who have reached out to support our care programs for children and youth with cancer and other grave illnesses. We especially thank the sponsorship of the Sant Jordi video to Grup Balsells, Century 21, Dasler, Hormann, Matias Goma Tomas, Meroil, Tecnotramit, Vivisol Ibérica Catalunya, CDM Barcelona, Frame Zero, and BSO for their support in the creation of the video.
We have also decorated the Pediatrics floor of the Hospital of Sant Pau for the Sant Jordi celebration, and have donated books to be gifted to the hospitalized children, contributing, like always, in connecting the hospital with the festivities that should be inclusive to everyone in society. We would like to thank another year of our Pediatric and Nursing team and medical professionals of the hospital for their support in our Sant Jordi celebration.
