The first solidarity dinner from the Villavecchia Foundation hosted in Girona receives support from athletes and businesses.
Updates on the creation of the first children's hospice in the country have been presented at this dinner, with developments starting at the end of October in the historic precinct of Sant Pau.
On the night of October 9th, the Villavecchia Foundation celebrated its first solidarity dinner in Girona. Located in the Finca Mas Matlle (property of Grupo Mimolet) with a highlighted presence of businesses and notable figures that support the organization, like members of Girona FC as well as athlete Cristhian Stuani, with singer Miquel Abras, who performed three songs live during the gala´s night.
The principal objective of this event, which falls on the 35th anniversary of the Villavecchia Foundation, is to fundraise and present updates on the project's creation of the Pabellon de la Victoria (Victoria Pavilion), which aims to be the first children's hospice in Cataluna, a specialized center in pediatric palliative care assisted by the Foundation in the historic precinct of Sant Pau in Barcelona. The benefits of the solidarity gala will go into making possible this pediatric center, which has been confirmed to start construction at the end of October, after an intense fundraising campaign.

During the initial moments of the dinner, provided by Mimolet, a video was screened titled ¨El sueño de Mikel¨ (¨Mikel´s Dream¨), in which the Motilvi stadium and footballer Cristhian Stuani assume protagonist roles alongside Mikel, a child with cancer being helped by the Villavecchia Foundation. The video, which has counted with the collaboration of Hospital Vall d'Hebron, includes a song ´Carmins´, provided by Girona´s Sopa de Cabra and Promo Arts Music, and has been realized by Videolab and Acronim.
The video can be watched on the Villavecchia Foundation YouTube channel.
Christian Stuani attended the Nit de Relats Soldiaries in Girona.
The dinner´s title was ¨Noche de los Relatos Solidarios¨ (¨Night of Solidarity Stories¨), in reference to the book ¨Relatos Solidarios del Deporte¨ (¨Sports Solidarity Stories¨), an annual´s edited book by a group of recognized sports journalists, where this year´s sales of the book will be donated to the creation of the Pabellon de la Victoria (Victoria Pavilion), the first children´s hospital from the Villavecchia Foundation. The book can be found in El Corte Ingles in two editions: one with Cristhian Stuani on the cover and the other with football player Ronald Araujo, from FC Barcelona, on the cover. Various authors involved in the Solidarity Stories assisted the dinner, with the gala being hosted by Xavi Torres.
We would like to especially thank the support of the initiative of Relatos Solidrarios del Deporte, to Girona FC and Cristhian Stuani, to CaixaBank, El Corte Inglés, Vueling, and Damm Foundation.
