A grand success for the 2025 Solidarity Dinner “A ‘Victoria’ for all” from the Villavecchia Foundation
More than 450 attendees enjoyed the gala presented by Xavi Coral; an eventful evening with especially emotional moments.
The solidarity gala “A ‘Victoria’ for all” has surpassed the fundraising of the last two years thanks to the people, organizations, and solidarity companies that have supported us at the Recinto Modernista of Sant Pau: 70,000 EUROS! 460 attendees enjoyed the solidarity dinner presented by Xavi Coral, an eventful evening with emotional moments, like the performance by Miquel Abras that was accompanied with projected images of families with sick children, the presentation of scholarships by the Foundation to three doctors for their specialization in oncology and hematologic pediatrics, an homage to the pediatric palliative care teams supported by the Foundation from five hospitals, and the presentation of a video depicting patients visiting the developing Pabellón de la Victoria (Victoria Pavilion).

The recipients of the scholarships this year by the Villavecchia Foundation were Dr. Paula Mazorra, from Hospital San Joan de Déu, who went up to receive the award with Dr. Andrés Morales, assistant Director to the Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona; and the doctors Sofia Alperi and Clara Serra being the other two recipients, both from Hospital Val d’Hebron, whose award was accepted on behalf of them by Dr. Alpert, alongside Dr. Lucas Moreno, director of service of the Oncology and Hematology Pediatrics of Vall d’Hebron.

Since 2006, the Villavecchia Foundation has honored more than 50 scholarships which have contributed to the formation of entry-level professionals who currently form part of medical teams in the principal hospitals of Spain. The awards were handed out by Dr. Miriam Negre, member of the Patronato de la Fundación and daughter of the Foundation’s founder, Sr. Antonio Negro Villavecchia.

During the gala, we also wanted to honor the representatives of the pediatric palliative care team from the five hospitals with an honor created by the students of Project Residea. These honors were given by Dr. Galdina Valls, chief operator of the Atención Intermedia from the Servicio Catalán de la Salud.

35 collaborating organizations helped us make this dinner a complete success. The excellent food was provided by Mercedes, supplying their delicious products Credo and Martin Faixo, Damom, and Maxipan. The companies that set up solidarity tables were Tecnotramit, Ferrer&Ojeda, Forwards Economics, the Vila Casas Foundation, the illustrious Law School of Barcelona, Otis Mobility, Palex, Tankfoods, Torras, and Vínculo Internacional. These companies helped us organize all the details of the gala: Events, Nuovi Piatti, Fever, TST, Kilonergia, CDM Barcelona, 023, Aflora Events, Ruiz & Co., M Decor, GloboImage, Palo Santo, Karakter, and the Private Foundation of Hospital Sant Pau.

Additionally, we organized a grand raffle of gifts supplied by Ada Parellada and the Restaurant Semproniana, Ronald Araujo, Cristian Stuani, the Villa Casa Foundation, Manuel Contreras, the bodega Enric Soler, the bodega Familia Nin-Ortiz, bodega Clos y Terrasses, hotel Torre Melina Gran Meliá es Andreu, RITUALS, and the Foundation Damm.
The Vila Casas Foundation gifted a sculpture titled “Pájaro” (“Bird”) which was created by artist Jose Luis Pascual. An artwork valued at 1,500 euros.

The funds raised from this dinner will cover the necessary psychosocial needs of many children and youth assisted by the Villavecchia Foundation in their diverse lines of work. It will also help support the development costs of the first pediatric hospice in our country, the Pabellón de la Victoria (Victoria Pavilion), which will consist of the integral transportation of one of the modernist pavilions from the historic precinct of Sant Pau. With this, we were able to discover the advancing developments thanks to a very emotional video in which children visited the site.
